This isn't specifically Z related but it is car related and can affect any one of us. I just watched on the news how a huge strip of Sepulveda Blvd. in Mission Hills, Ca was shut down and blocked off because of "crusing". Now, some of you may not be familar with the laws out here in regards to crusing, but if your car is seen passing through a particular street a certain amount of times within a particular time frame, you get a ticket. In Pasadena it's 3 times within an hour last I heard. Anyway, that's not even the direct issue here...one can argue this one all day long. What gets me is that tonight I see on the news this whole block they sealed off. We're talking about 100+ cars altogether that are stuck awaiting a search and interrogation. The problem is that these are not slammed Civics with strobe lights, teenage delinquents or even street racers. There are minivans, UHauls, people with their families, etc stuck in this thing. One news story mentioned that more than 50% were just passers by trying to get home, etc. Not to mention it was only 9:30pm when this went down. Personally, I think this is a bunch of crap. I'm all for laws and paying the price if you break one. I understand that if you speed you get a ticket and don't moan about it. Or if you get a ticket for no front plate, that it was under YOUR control. But this is a bit much. I'm NOT big on making many suffer for catching a "few". And when it's something nowhere near violent it's a real eye-opener. I know I'd be insanely pissed if I had to spend 2 hours with my kids screaming in the backseat trying to get home for school in the morning...and I'm stuck there waiting to be searched and released. While trying to keep this civil, what do you guys think? /rant off
